This Privacy Policy explains how AI Joy Apps ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website or use any mobile application we publish on the Apple App Store or Google Play. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be plain-spoken about the rest.

01 Who we are
AI Joy Apps is an independent app and web studio. We are the data controller for personal information processed through this website and through apps published under our developer account. For any privacy concern, you can reach our privacy contact at [email protected].
02 Information we collect
The exact data an individual app collects is described on its App Store / Google Play listing and, where applicable, inside the app. In general we may process the following categories:
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Information you provide | Your email and message when you contact us; content you enter into an app | To reply and to provide the app's features |
| Device & technical data | Device model, OS version, app version, language, non-persistent identifiers | Compatibility, security, and troubleshooting |
| Usage data | Features used, screens viewed, in-app events, approximate aggregate stats | To understand and improve the product |
| Diagnostics | Crash logs and performance data | To find and fix bugs |
| Purchase data | Transaction status from Apple / Google (we never see your card number) | To unlock paid features and provide support |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app advertising tracking. If a specific app ever does anything different, that app's listing and in-app notice will say so clearly before you opt in.
03 How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain our website and apps;
- To respond to your questions and support requests;
- To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance;
- To understand which features are useful so we can make better products;
- To process purchases and restore them across your devices;
- To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.
04 Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver an app's features you requested), legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve our products), consent (for optional analytics or communications, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligation (to meet our legal duties).
05 Sharing & service providers
We share personal information only as needed and never sell it. Recipients may include:
- Platform providers — Apple and Google, who operate the App Store, Google Play, and in-app purchases;
- Service providers — trusted vendors who host our site, deliver email, or provide analytics and crash reporting on our behalf, bound by contract to protect your data;
- Legal & safety — authorities where we are legally required to disclose, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
06 Third-party SDKs & services
Our apps may include third-party software development kits (SDKs) for essential functions such as analytics and crash reporting. These providers process limited data under their own privacy policies. Each app's store listing (Apple "Privacy Nutrition Labels" and Google Play "Data safety" section) lists the data types collected. We keep third-party SDKs to the minimum needed to run a reliable product.
07 Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Support correspondence is kept while needed to assist you; diagnostic and usage data are retained in aggregated or limited form and deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
08 Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
09 Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR)
You may exercise the rights above and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You may request access to or deletion of your personal information and are entitled not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by California law.
To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
10 Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion". Where an app offers an in-app account, you can also delete it from the app's settings. We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet a legal obligation.
11 Children's privacy
Our website and apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it. Any app intended for children will comply with the applicable Apple Kids Category and Google Play Families requirements.
12 International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect it.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products and the law evolve. We will revise the "Effective" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
